Asbestos workers have a higher risk for developing lung cancer if they don't follow the corresponding recommendations at their workplace in order to reduce that risk. Hence some uses of asbestos are banned in many countries, since it is known that the inhalation of asbestos fibers can cause terrible diseases among human beings.
